Annual Bahamian Music & Heritage Festival
March 15, 2012 - March 17, 2012

An event you will not want to miss.

The Bahamian Music and Heritage Festival is an exciting time for the whole family, with lots of activities for kids and adults: storytelling, singing, poetry reading, a Bahamian sloop exhibition, plus contests involving wood toting, sugar cane peeling, onion peeling, and conch cracking. There will be an expanded heritage corner highlighting Bahamian history; arts and crafts will be on sale, along with Bahamian cuisine.

A gospel explosion on Thursday evening launches the weekend of activities. Renowned local and visiting performers scheduled to appear include Bishop Lawrence Rolle, Al Gibson, Danisha Rolle, Cindy Romer, Xiomara Adderley and others.

The festival will also feature an awesome lineup of The Bahamas’ most popular and talented national artists, including Terez, Ting 'Um Dem Band, Geno D, and Basil Smith, in addition to performances by the Tropical Beat Band and Audley Dames and the Sweet Love Band from Exuma.
